He comforts us in our troubles so that we can comfort others... 11 Corinthians 1:4
This treasure was created in memory of Perry Pearson so that his family may know of our prayers and support. We were honored to meet Perry's family and deliver the quilt to them on our fabulous Arizona Adventure. While we were there, we were presented many opportunities to share our story and donate bears. These quilts were made to honor the memory of Wes Woods. We were introduced to Wes' families by a special lady, a friend and former colleague. The one on the right was given to his mother and her family. Click here to see close-up pictures of Wes' mom's quilt. The quilt below was given to Wes' dad and his family. This bright quilt was made to honor the memory of Evan Cerrillo by the children of the Helena Baptist Church VBS of 2016. It is shown here with Evan's mom, little sister and friends (who introduced us to Evan's family). It was assembled in 2 sessions by 2 talented seamstresses: Sandra Woods and Lisa Kiser. These beautiful quilts were created in memory of Bell Barnawell, who served as our very first ambassador to SKM when she first delivered teddy bears for us to kids who were in the hospital with her as she battled CF. SKM followed Bell and her valiant fight all of her 10 years through 2 double lung transplants and cancer. So many prayer peeps wanted to make squares that we put them on 2 quilts. Click here to see close up pics of the pink (Bell's favorite color) one and here to see close-up pics of the purple (the color representing CF) one.
